FORGE TV

Quick start

Get to know your remote

Everything important in Forge TV works with the arrow keys, OK and Back. Pick a topic below when you need it — no need to read a long manual.

OK Select

Watch, open details or pause a movie.

Hold OK More

Open options. Hold for about half a second.

Back Return

Go back one step. Hold Back from a tab to return straight to live TV.

No Menu button? In most screens, Hold OK opens the same options. Special controls while watching live scores are explained below.

Choose what you want to do

Find and watch a channel

Open Live TV. Use ▲ ▼ to choose a channel and ◀ ▶ to move through programmes.

  • OK on what's on now starts the channel; on another programme it opens details.
  • 0–9 jumps to a channel number; CH+/CH− moves through channels.
  • Hold OK on a channel for favourites, moving, renaming, hiding or choosing a different guide channel.
  • ◀ from the channel names opens categories.
Controls while watching Live TV
  • ▲ ▼ or CH+/CH−: change channel.
  • OK or Info: show what's on; Hold ▶: full programme description.
  • Back: return to the guide with your current channel selected.
  • Hold OK or Blue: toggle the sports screen.
  • Red or Zoom: change picture size.
  • Hold ▼: open the player options (subtitles, audio, audio sync, speed and more). A quick tap of ▼ still changes channel.
  • ⏪: start over on a channel that supports catch-up.

Customise remote shortcuts under Settings → Playback → Remote buttons.

Sports scores and finding matches

In the Sports tab, choose a sport, then a league, to see its games for the next week. ▶ moves across to the games and ◀ back to the sports.

  • OK on a game lists the channels showing it. One on now starts straight away; one still to come opens the guide at that programme.
  • Hold OK on a game to set a reminder on the channel you choose, or to follow either team or its league.
  • Hold OK on a league to follow it. Everything you follow is listed together under My favourites at the top. Each profile keeps its own.

With the sports screen visible while watching:

  • ▶ moves to other games; ▲ ▼ chooses a game.
  • Hold OK on another game lists the channels showing it.
  • ◀ or Back returns to your game; it also returns automatically after 20 seconds.
  • Menu, or Hold ◀ without Menu, opens score-delay and spoiler controls.
Movies, TV shows and catch-up
  • Browse posters using the arrows and press OK for a film or show's page, with its cast and a Trailer button when there is one.
  • A film's page has Watch or Resume, Start over and Clear progress. A show's page plays or resumes the next episode in one press, and Episodes opens every season.
  • In a movie or episode, OK pauses/plays; ◀ goes back 10 seconds and ▶ skips ahead 30 seconds.
  • ▼, Hold OK or Menu opens audio, subtitle and playback settings; Back stops and saves your place.
  • During catch-up TV, OK pauses/plays, ◀ ▶ skips by one minute and Stop returns to live.
Search, favourites and reminders
  • Open Search to find channels, programmes, movies and shows in one place. Use the microphone if supported.
  • In the guide, Hold OK on a channel to add it to Favourites or your own group. A group can hold channels from all your playlists, and shows whichever playlist is on.
  • For a future programme, open its details and choose Remind me.
  • For a sports game, Hold OK and select a reminder. Review reminders under Settings → Guide → Your reminders.
Settings and organising channels

In Settings, use ▲ ▼ to move through sections, ▶ to enter one, ◀ to return to the list, and OK to change a setting.

To reorder channels or categories, choose Move (or Hold OK in an ordering list), move with ▲ ▼, jump to the top/bottom with ▶ / ◀, then press OK to place it.

Channels stopping or not starting on an Xtream Codes playlist? Open Settings → Playlists, choose the playlist and switch its Live stream type to HLS. Each playlist keeps its own.

Moving to a new TV? Settings → Backup saves everything to one file. The whole file is checked before a restore changes anything.

Remember: Buttons vary between remotes. Forge TV is designed to work with the D-pad, OK and Back even without dedicated shortcut buttons.
